Color and pattern, as always, play a major role in creating my compositions. Using color perspective enables me to penetrate through the two dimensional surface thus creating a spatially deeper image. Working with acrylic paint allows me even more freedom to explore, investigate, experiment and exaggerate in my paintings. The medium offers unending abilities to multi-layer using transparent glazes to thick applications of pigment. Sometimes an area of color is repainted a dozen or so times before I feel satisfied with my choice.
